London is the dirtiest and most expensive city to visit in the world, according to a travel survey published yesterday.

The survey of 1,100 people conducted by Trip Advisor saw London take the crown of dirtiest city from Paris, which topped the poll last year.

The survey also said that Londoners were the second most unfriendly locals in the world behind Paris, and were labelled unfriendly and rude.

On the plus side, London was found to have the best nightlife and parks and came second in the shopping stakes, only losing out to Paris.
